Subject:painting on Bamboo paper

I have found this picture in with a pile of old other pictures and it appears to be possibly on bamboo paper or similar can anyone help me identify which country its from and if possible the artist and confirm it is painted on Bamboo paper.
Any help you can give me would be much appreciated.

Not bamboo - papyrus.
Not Chinese - Egyptian

This is painted in the Egyptian style, possibly on a papyrus background, though I can't vouch for the language used in the signature. The overall appearance strikes me as contemporary.
