Hello
I am seeking someone who can share knowledge with me about reading the inscription on the base of this massive Wucai vase. I wanted to know if this is a real Wanli period vase. My Grand parents lived in Shanghi in 1900 to 1930s and collected many types of ceramics from China as well as Chinese furniture. The vase is 18 inches tall and 17 inches wide at shoulders

It says that this was presented by the emperor, and that it is(was) owned by the shrine of the Zhu clan (the Ming emperors were named Zhu).

I think that this type of bottom would not agree with something made for or presented by the palace, and the good quality of wucai painting and the crude chatter marks could mean that it is not authentic.
