Subject:Chinese Rank Badge - help

Help with Chinese rank badge. Front side 2 piece badge. Is this a 6th rank badge from second half of the 19thC?. Can someone tell more about this badge. The quality Seem high. Bought it private from a man that said its was given to a family member around 1900. A missionary in China! The jugend frame fits the period!

Also help with the rank system. Is 1st rank the lowest or highest rank?
