Subject:Brass bowl I use as a singing bowl

Hi
I use this bowl as a singing bowl, not sure if it is intended original use but it was passed down to me by my father and it has a lovely tone.
It is at least 40 years old as I have known it that long, it is pretty heavy and does not attract a magnet.
It's more curiosity than I want to sell it as its used daily and it would be nice to know its province and intended use.
I went to a gong therapist and she reckons it is indeed an old singing bowl but no more than that.
