Vases are japanese although i can not read the mark. Made prob 10-20 years ago. worthless

The mark, if rotated 90 degrees to the right, is Ming Zhi Akira Kokorozashi. "Ming Zhi", the Meiji era, extended from 1868 to 1912. However, whether these vases are from this period requires a real expert in Japanese ceramics to provide you the answer. There is at least one example in eBay. Hope this points you in the right direction to do your own research on the vases. Good luck.

I don't recall seeing this mark before, but these vases resemble nothing quite as much as the made-in-China rip-offs that usually come marked "Royal Satsuma".
