I have bowls with beautiful artwork, and want to use them for food prep and servimg..just wondered if it is safe. They are decorated in Hong Kong but have Japanese under that.... porcelainware with initials P.C.T. Tried to attach photo, but i,age is >required and don't know how to change size of image. Thank yo

You'd be ill-advised to use those dishes for food. The Hong Kong government under British rule began requiring lead-content warnings on porcelains decorated there from the early 1970's. The early warnings were printed on paper and easily removed.
