I am wondering if anyone collect Chinese or Japanese Silver? I found one website as follows:

Hi Jeffrey,
just found your fotos of your nice silver pieces and questions towards chinese silver.
There is an expert in so called "Chinese Export Silver" (shortform: CES), his name is Adrien von Ferscht. He did and still does a lot of research in that field. Take a look at his website "http://chinese-export-silver.com.gridhosted.co.uk/". They also made a catalogue of many chinese silversmith marks, but it is not for free.
Some of the most important silvermakers mark in the world, also for china, you can also find here for free: "http://www.925-1000.com/chinex_marks.html" - I think that website is hosted by an italien guy.
I also once found a nice tea and coffee set of CES some years ago. In the base there were the initials "PC" and WN" by the smiths and a 90, which means "at least 90% pure silver" in CES made around 1850-1900, as I know now through my research. The initials stand for the silvermakers "Po Cheng" and "Wing Nam", found it out through the www.925-1000.com-site.
Look at the first foto, thats howthe 5 piece set looked like in the annonce at german ebay-annonces (www.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de). The other fotos show two of the 5-piece-set already polished and restored. The restoring silversmith in Bremen was rather impressend and told me, that nowadays to order such a silver teapot alone, for instance, would at least cost more than 3000 $/€ in his shop.
