Posted By: Bill H Sun, Nov 20, 2016 This is what I take to be a circa mid-20th century Chinese ginger jar in a popular Dragon & Phoenix on Cracked Ice pattern meant to commemorate weddings and anniversaries. I believe the mark reads from the top right down and across as "Zhen Shi Ci She" (鎮食瓷社), possibly translatable in context as "Jingdezhen Porcelain Dinnerware Commune" or as "Municipal Porcelain Dinnerware Cooperative". Perhaps Super can weigh in on the translation. |
