What you really need is a warning to stay away from this transfer decorated piece of Chinese fakery, which looks from the scrap of decoration I can see apparently to be a bowl with a Western "Hunting" motif, which is among a slew of forged pottery pieces currently being flogged under this mark dishonestly as antique by Chinese and some Japanese internet dealers.

I was going to ask you to show the whole thing, but I'll forgive you the omission if it'll save you from buying this thing. The fake mark says "Made at Canton during the Wuchen Year" "Yangcheng Wu Chen Nian Zhi" (羊城戊辰年製). Here are some earlier threads about stuff with the same mark.
