Subject:Hong Shan jade ?

I am not a jade collector, I found this site on google. a few years back I aquired this item from a ww2 weapons collector who was a
friend of Honda and lived in asia after the war. this has been in a box in storage for years, he is 85 and doesn't remember where he got it, I purchased it thinking it was from central america, when I couldn't find anything like it I put it away for the last 4 years, but
some one said it might be chinese so I am looking for help.
