Message SHape is the least of the problems with this item. The first thing that strikes me was the excessive iron "splattering" on the vase. Such iron spot caused by impurities do occur but were considered a flaw. You do get them but not this much and not this evenely spread around. Second was the way the people were painted and color of the cobalt. The clouds are done in a an early Ming style, the classic scroll in a Yuan style, and the figures I do not know what style as it's just not really done that way at all. Plus it has waht appears to be a Jiajing mark and then you have to consider the excessive crudeness of the base. Post a Response |
