Posted By: Guy Thu, Feb 12, 2015 This is a Japanese woodblock print by the ukiyo-e artist Utagawa Yoshitora (act. ca. 1836-82) and published ca 1840s, depicting the commander Minamoto no Yoshitsune (left) and his right-hand man, the warrior monk Musashibo Benkei (right) during an episode of the civil war in the 12th century. |

Posted By: geo. Fri, Feb 13, 2015 This is a Japanese woodblock print. The condition is one charitably referred to as a "late" impression, meaning it was printed after the blocks had started showing significant wear, and the printer had pared down the range of colors to 3 or 4. |
