Posted By: Stan Thu, Oct 20, 2016 The first doesn't have a signature. I think I've seen it before and it is the middle panel of a triptych, but I don't remember the artist. The second is an actor print by Utagawa Kunisada before 1844 (when he started signing as Toyokuni). If you can get better pictures of them, you can use Google Image Search to look for them. For the Kunisada, you can look at the Kunisada site below. |

Posted By: Stan Mon, Oct 24, 2016 You're right. I missed it trying to give a quick answer. I thought it was Kuniyoshi but couldn't find the print in the short time I had. |

Posted By: Guy Fri, Oct 21, 2016 The first woodblock print was designed by Utagawa Kuniyoshi (1798-1861) and published by Fujiokaya Hikotarô, probably late 1830s. It depicts Kintarô killing a panter in the mountains. |

Posted By: Stan Mon, Oct 24, 2016 This is a Chinese painting. You should start a new discussion and include that info in the title to attract rat's attention. |
