Subject:Old Chinese Zodiac Scroll Painting
Posted By: Ric Arevalo Mon, Oct 13, 2014 IP: 112.208.125.232

Was entrusted with a neglected scroll painting when my father died.. Neglected as it was just left on his stockroom corner for so many tears..

Appreciate any inputs re. the artist and what year this was painted..

Thank you and more power...

Seems like a nice example from these photos. These are almost always by anonymous professional painters. the seal is partial and hard to make out but suggests an institutional affiliation, perhaps a temple or the place where this scroll was sold at some point? It's not an artist's seal. I can't offer a date with any confidence. First half 20th century perhaps, but could possibly be 19th.
