Subject:rat, a translation puzzle that perhaps you can easily solve?
Posted By: beadiste Wed, Dec 24, 2014 IP: 206.174.65.131 These are cloisonne box labels from sometime between the 1960s and 1990s, and it would be nice to know which decade. |

Posted By: rat Sun, Dec 28, 2014 nothing so fancy, the round seal below the numbers is a label indicating the color scheme of the object originally in the box, literally "deep pine yellow", whatever that is. The box may be more recent than the 1990s, the chances of it predating the 1980s are almost nil I would think. |
Subject:Thanks, rat. I continue to search for...

Posted By: rat Tue, Dec 30, 2014 I can't be much help in the cloisonne department unfortunately. The seal on the cover just reads something like "skilled handicraft manufacturers" 手工精製 |

Posted By: rat Fri, Jan 16, 2015 Yes, I was wondering that too, but the characters came up as one of a large palette of factory colors on a couple of websites when I ran them through Google. |
