Gede Wisanto, possibly of the Wisanto family that has produced many painters in the Western style around the city of Ubud. Western oil painting came to Bali with such artists as Spies and Rudolph Bonnet in the late 1930's and developed into the Bali School by the 1950's. |

Posted By: Amir Sidharta Sun, Jul 19, 2015 Yes, IB would be Ida Bagus ( which means that he is a Brahman). The painting is of the dance Oleg Tambulilingan, which is the dance of the bumblebee. |
