Posted By: Bill H Wed, Apr 20, 2016 This platter with apocryphal mark of "Made during the Qianlong Reign" looks stylistically to be a circa 1960's product, perhaps produced in Taiwan or painted on Chinese porcelain at a Hong Kong factory. Such dragon-Phoenix motifs were quite popular on dishes exported for use in Chinese restaurants, often during wedding celebrations. Probably not of great value except decorative, as the piece is fairly common and lacks age. |
