Aha. This is why people can't just assume that translating a label or inscription will give them the answers they want. The "oriole" here is the girl, a character from Romance of the Western Chamber, the love interest of the student protagonist seen here kneeling at her feet. Post the objects people.

no matter what i do when uploading pictures the are always turned the wrong way
